At the recent very successful Prize-Giving ceremony for John Kyrle’s students, the Countess of Darnley JP, the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire paid tribute to the work involved in making the school such a success.

A record 72% of students gaining  5+ A*-C grades at GCSE, with an overall pass rate of 97%, followed last week’s excellent A Level results at John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre.

Record “A” Level results have established further John Kyrle’s pre-eminent role as the provider of the highest quality Sixth Form education in the region. A 100% pass rate at A Level, together with 55% A-B grades and 84% at A-C included success across all subject areas and for individual students including the school’s 5 Oxbridge applicants.

Due to some atrocious weather, the John Kyrle Sports Day was held over 2 days, but that did not deter students, staff and parents from enjoying some great athletic performances.
