The Year 8 team finished second in their league and then went on to beat Minster Sports College in the Semi-Final, 2-1, to progress to the final where they played Aylestone. In a close fought match, John Kyrle just came up short, losing 2-0.
The Year 9 team found themselves in a very tough group which composed the two eventual finalists. The boys however had excellent wins over Kingstone and Aylestone and finished a creditable third in their league. With key players back next year, the team will be looking to go one better.
Pride of place goes to the Year 10 team who in a very tough group, finished second. The team progressed to the semi-final where they found themselves 3-0 down against Minster Sports College, only to produce a remarkable come back and win 4-3 with Ellis Rutsch scoring a superb hat-rick.
In the final, the team again found themselves behind (2-0) but again showed remarkable character to come back and win 6-2 against Lady Hawkins School, Kington and deservedly won the tournament. The boys have been a credit to themselves and the school and along with the staff have shown a commitment and dedication which has deserved the success they have achieved.
