On Wednesday, we arrived at our hotel in time to freshen up before having our evening meal at the local Buffalo Grill restaurant.
Thursday morning dawned bright and sunny and after breakfast, we set off for the city centre and the ascent of the Eiffel Tower. After a picnic lunch in the park, it was time to head down to the banks of the River Seine to do the cruise around the Île de la Cité on the ‘bateau mouche’, taking all the sights of the city from the river. The evening meal was at a pizza restaurant near the hotel.
Friday was another beautifully sunny, hot day and we started our excursions by visiting the beautiful Sacré Cœur and the famous artists’’ quarter of Montmartre. After lunch it was time for ‘le shopping’ at the huge new hypermarket – a chance to practise our French! After a quick visit to the Euro Disney village it was time to head back for our last evening meal at the Hard Rock Café.
An early start was needed on Saturday to get us back to the Euro Tunnel terminal and the lunchtime crossing home. We arrived back at school in the early evening after a very successful trip. Party leader Miss Sims said ‘Yet again the students have been a credit to the school and their parents. I am very proud of them.’
