As well as being a teaching area, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) allows pupils to complete homework tasks or carry out research for class projects within school when lessons are not taking place. Pupils are allowed access to the LRC from 12:20 until 1:00pm every lunch time to use the facilities.
Our LRC has 10 modern PCs which are all attached to the main computer network and the Internet. A scanner is connected to one of these which allows photographs and newspaper articles to be scanned onto the computer for later use in electronic documents. There is also large desk area for completing homework that does not require access to a computer. Just like our other 5 ICT suites in the school, the LRC also contains a black-and-white laser printer and over 5,000 books.
