Outstanding GCSE Performance at John Kyrle (2:17 PM, 08/27/2009)
A record 72% of students gaining 5+ A*-C grades at GCSE, with an overall pass rate of 97%, followed last week’s excellent A Level results at John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre.

Record “A” Level results have established further John Kyrle’s pre-eminent role as the provider of the highest quality Sixth Form education in the region. A 100% pass rate at A Level, together with 55% A-B grades and 84% at A-C included success across all subject areas and for individual students including the school’s 5 Oxbridge applicants.

Herefordshire Council and John Kyrle High School are advising all students not to swim in the River Wye following the death or a former Kingstone pupil on Tuesday.
First Case of Swine Flu in Herefordshire (7:44 AM, 06/05/2009)
NHS Herefordshire and Herefordshire Council have confirmed that the county has its first case of swine flu. A man recently returning from holiday in an affected area contacted the primary care trust out-of-hours service and is now responding well to treatment at home.
